Welcome... We hope you can find everything you need. Private Lessons is focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction; we will do everything we can to meet your expectation. (This student is being taught in the comfort of her home) Going to a Martial Arts school and practicing with a crowd of people does not meet everyones comfort zone needs. In a school setting some people feel awkward, embarrassed and uneasy....it's human nature. Moreover, some feel it's an invasion of privacy, since studying Martial Arts is somewhat a personal endeavor for personal reasons. We offer an alternate method of reaching the individuals Martial Arts goals; men, women or children(5years and older) alike. I will travel to your place of comfort within Connecticut( Apartment, House, Park, other place of preference) to teach you the Art of Self Defense called Tae Kwon Do, a Korean style of Martial Arts recognized throughout the world as defined by the International Tae Kwon Do Federation(ITF). Some people think that using videos to learn techniques, and/or patterns, will give them the training they need to succeed in a particular martial art. Videos provide a great way to get an inside look at martial arts, or enhance a seasoned practitioner's venue for their particular art. However, the videos cannot make corrections as you try to perform the required tasks. Hence, how can you truly be assured that you are properly executing the technique without the chance of hurting yourself when the need arises to use it, or whether the technique will even work? Or how can you be assured that you are performing the patterns correctly, if the video cannot adjust your stands or hand positions? The fact: One-on-One sessions can be tailored to the individual. Individuals can explore the meditative and focusing attributes of forms(a.k.a. Patterns), the technique aspects, sparring practice and more. This is accomplished by the instructor providing an eagle eye into the proper execution of the techniques and making on the spot corrections. The sessions can include physical training as well. It's up to the individual's desired goals, or journey, which can be established at the first meeting and revisited as the student progresses. Further, it's a private lesson, so the individual gets the instructor's full attention. Some people may want to train together, like friends or family members. This is possible, however, to keep the attention factor to the best possible ratio, no more than 4 individuals may attend together in a given session. This is your chance to get into Martial Arts at YOUR comfort zone.
